Altamirano, better known as simply HernánCortés, has been one of the most famousSpaniards of the American continentimmediately after the discovery of America byCristóbal Colón. Courts, between 1519 and1521, was the Conqueror of the Aztec Empire,what is today central Mexico, on behalf of theKing of España Carlos I. After a long time ofclashes, the city of Tenochtitlan, surrenderedto the repeated attempts to Spanish bymastering it.

A typically Spanish town built on the site of the Aztec capitaland also sent expeditions to the South for annexing more territories:Guatemala, Honduras and Yucatán.
